In a situation that threatens human health and life, every minute is worth its weight in gold, which is why it is so important to know the rules of first aid. On the World First Aid Day Benefit Systems reminds everyone about the basic procedures related to health safety in sports and recreational facilities.
Eight minutes. This is the average time during which an ambulance shows up at the scene of the accident in a city with more than 10,000 residents. Unfortunately, according to the European Resuscitation Council data, every minute after cardiac arrest the chances of survival decrease by 10-12%. To draw attention to the issue of safety of people exercising in sports facilities and to help its partners in the preparation of sports facility staff, Benefit Systems prepared a special instruction called “First Aid Algorithms”. It is intended to provide employees at these facilities with knowledge and practical skills in the field of first aid.
– Our knowledge can save someone’s life, which is why we have prepared the “First Aid Algorithms” for our partners. We encourage them to share this instruction not only with the staff but also with all customers. The material consists of a dozen or so algorithms for dealing with situations in which it is necessary to provide first aid in a sports and recreation facility. Each method is accurately described and supported with graphic material illustrating the individual steps.
