Benefit Systems establishes a bond programme worth PLN 1 billion.

Benefit Systems has established a bond programme worth up to PLN 1 billion. The organisers of the issue will be Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. and Santander Bank Polska S.A. The programme aims at diversifying the sources of financing the activities of the Benefit Systems Capital Group in accordance with the 2025–2027 development strategy adopted in 2024.

Work on the first bond offering addressed to qualified investors under the programme may begin in the first half of this year. Additional financing obtained by Benefit Systems will be allocated to the organic development of the fitness club network and acquisitions in the markets where the Benefit Systems Group operates.

– In November, we announced a strategy under which we want to accelerate the development of the fitness club network in all markets where we operate The economic situation in the fitness industry is favourable for us, and the good sales results of sports cards last year confirm our belief that our strategy is right and will build value for stakeholders. We assume that within three years we will increase the number of our own clubs by approximately 300 locations, which involves significant investment expenses – says Marcin Fojudzki, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems, and adds: – Our intention is also to maintain the dividend policy, which is why we decide to increase the availability of financing.

Pursuant to the programme agreement between Benefit Systems, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki and Santander Bank Polska, the bonds may be issued for an indefinite period.

Comment by Małgorzata Kloka, Financial Director responsible for the bond programme: “The Benefit Systems Group has a very good financial position. We ended last year with net cash on the balance sheet. In the face of the planned increase in investment expenditure in the coming years, we want to diversify our financing sources, hence the decision to potentially issue bonds, in addition to existing loan agreements. We hope that this approach will also allow us to optimise financing costs. We also want to have flexibility when it comes to the availability of different options, which is provided by the bond programme.”

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
