For residents of the Silesian metropolitan area, a visit to local swimming pools and outdoor bathing areas – ranging from facilities in Katowice and Ruda Śląska to Havířov in the Czech Republic – offers a way to enjoy a holiday atmosphere without having to travel far.

The sociable nature of Poles also plays a role in the fight against their physical inactivity.

Active leisure, a search for savings, and a desire for new experiences – this is the picture of this year’s summer holidays that emerges from the results of the MultiSport Programme’s survey. 58% of Poles want to pack employee benefits that support a healthy lifestyle so they can use them while on holiday as well.

Mum, give yourself some time.

Mum, give yourself some time.

All mothers are wonderful, silent heroes. We need to remember this and, despite the multitude of responsibilities, be able to thank ourselves for what we do every day, without a break – says Natalia, business partner service specialist and mother of boys aged 3 and 5, who – as she admits – finds it hard to keep up despite being in quite good shape. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, female employees of  Benefit Systems, the creator of the MultiSport Programme, talk about exercise, which, instead of being a duty, is time for yourself, rest and insurance for the future.

Families! Why not spend two hours being active this Friday? For your health and for yourself.

According to the OECD and WHO “Step Up! Tackling the Burden of Insufficient Physical Activity in Europe” report, in terms of physical activity levels, Poland ranks third from the bottom among European countries. Insufficient levels of physical activity affect not only adults but also children, who are already less fit than their peers from previous generations. Experts warn that if we do not ensure that children get enough exercise, their future will be more difficult than ours, and the attitudes of parents and carers play the most important role in this regard.

The Bedoes 2115, Łatwogang and Cancer Fighters initiative is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a real demonstration of the strength of our community and the belief that together we can achieve more. We watched the live stream with great admiration. Poland played as one TEAM – united, committed, and working together towards a common goal. These are precisely the values that have defined the world of sport for years: solidarity, determination and a shared goal.

Thank you, I’ll stand. Why is physical activity so important when we work sitting down?

Thank you, I’ll stand. Why is physical activity so important when we work sitting down?

According to data from the MultiSport Programme, more than half of working Poles spend between three and nine hours a day sitting at work and 56% of employees stay twice as long sitting after work. An experimental study of administrative staff suggests that physical activity is helpful in combating the effects of a sedentary lifestyle, but it must be regular rather than occasional. Only then do we have a chance to strengthen our muscles and cardiovascular system, and thus to focus on prevention rather than rehabilitation – says Dr Dorota Molek-Winiarska, Professor at the Wrocław University of Economics.

As many as 45% of parents admit that their children will spend at least three hours a day in front of a screen during the winter holidays.

During the 2026 winter break, many students’ daily schedules may look similar: several hours in front of a phone, tablet or computer screen and much less time devoted to sports, recreation or any form of physical activity. According to a nationwide survey commissioned by the MultiSport Programme, 45% of parents believe that their children will spend at least three hours a day in front of a screen during this year’s winter holidays. Meanwhile, only 20% assume that during the winter break their children will be physically active for at least an hour each day, which is in line with the World Health Organisation’s recommendations. Experts emphasise that the right balance between passive and active time is important for the proper development of children’s bodies, but also for their mental health.
