Benefit Systems has acquired the Pomeranian Good Luck Club fitness network.

Good Luck Club fitness clubs have joined the Benefit Systems Group, which has over 220 its own fitness facilities in Poland. The acquisition in Pomerania will strengthen the group’s offer in the Tricity region, which is strategic for the MultiSport Programme. Good Luck Club is a network providing high-quality services, including extensive sauna and relaxation areas. The value of the transaction is PLN 27.7 million.

– The acquisition of further facilities characterised by a high standard and an offer appreciated by customers is another step in the implementation of our strategy, which aims to expand the portfolio of clubs in the largest agglomerations in Poland, further strengthen the high quality of guaranteed services and maintain a strong position on the Polish market – explains Marcin Fojudzki, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems S.A., and adds: – The acquired clubs ended 2023 with very good sales results and a strong balance sheet. The prospective market guarantees further increases in the volume of passes and the number of MultiSport card users frequenting the clubs.

The acquisition applies only to Good Luck Club fitness clubs operating under this name since 2021 (formerly Studio S7). The acquired facilities are in very good technical condition, therefore the company does not expect significant capital expenditure related to renovations in the coming years.

– The Good Luck Club network has an established position, and its offer meets the latest trends and customer needs. We are observing the growing interest of our sports card users in training in these facilities, which is why we are glad that Good Luck Club is strengthening the MultiSport Programme in Tricity. Currently, our flagship product offers over 5,100 sports and recreation facilities, of which over 220 are the group’s own fitness clubs – adds Wojciech Szwarc, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems S.A.

The Good Luck Club offer includes both personal training and modern forms of group classes, gyms, cardio and free weights zones as well as wellness zones. Good Luck Club Gdańsk is located at Orzechowa Street and offers group classes as well as a modern machine park covering an area of over 1,200 square meters. The facility also has squash courts. There are two more clubs in Pruszcz Gdański (Domeyki Street and Kasprowicza Street), each with an area of nearly 1,000 square metres. The fourth club is situated in the rapidly developing Banino near Gdańsk (nearly 1,000 square meters of space).

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
