Benefit Systems issues bonds worth PLN 1 billion and completes the programme announced in January in one series.

Benefit Systems successfully completed its bond offering, issuing debt securities worth PLN 1 billion in one series, thus closing the programme announced in January. The company’s offer was very popular, which confirms the market’s confidence in the company and its strategy. The bond issue was organised by Bank Pekao and Santander Bank Polska.

Comment by Marcin Fojudzki, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems: After several years of absence on the bond market, we successfully issued debt securities worth PLN 1 billion. We would like to thank the investors for their trust. It is an important motivation for us to continue working as well as confirmation that the adopted strategy and plans related to its implementation enjoy great support from the market. The obtained funds will allow us to implement the strategy announced at the end of 2024, which includes expanding our fitness clubs network by over 300 facilities within three years, more than half of which will be operating on foreign markets.

Benefit Systems announced its bond issue programme worth up to PLN 1 billion addressed to qualified investors at the end of January this year. – The initial value of the issue of the first series of bonds was set at PLN 500 million, with the possibility of increasing this amount. Due to the very high demand, we decided to increase the value of the issue to PLN 1 billion, thus closing the entire programme with one series of debt securities – adds Marcin Fojudzki.

The issue was organised by Bank Pekao and Santander Bank Polska, and the transaction was legally supervised by the Baker McKenzie Krzyżowski i Wspólnicy law firm. The interest rate on the bonds is WIBOR 6M + 190bp, and the five-year bonds will mature in March 2030. With the margin finally determined, the demand for the company’s bonds exceeded PLN 1.6 billion.

Comment by Małgorzata Kloka, Financial Director responsible for the bond issue programme: We diversify financing sources so that they support the company’s development plans in an optimal and cost-effective manner. We are pleased with the great interest of investors, which was reflected in both a significant oversubscription of the offer and an attractive margin.

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
