Benefit Systems opens an intimate club at Bulvary Wrocław. At Studio Fitness Academy, training is supported by AI.

Since October, Studio Fitness Academy – a boutique fitness club whose members exercise with the support of AI – has been operating at Bulvary in Wrocław. The 415-square-meter investment is a high-standard facility designed for people who prefer intimate and more personalised training spaces.

The Fitness Academy studio is situated at 11 Księcia Witolda Street, the modern boulevards along the Odra River, one of the most attractive and fastest-growing parts of Wrocław. The nearby housing estates and a large office and food complex have now been supplemented with a modern place for physical activity with a very wide range of offers. The studio is an alternative to large fitness clubs as the entire space has been designed as an intimate interior.

– Our goal is to continuously increase the availability of professional training spaces for the residents of Lower Silesia. We also want to educate people about the impact of physical activity on wellbeing and the benefits of developing healthy habits of regular exercise – explains Rafał Światłowski, Fitness Clubs Development, Sales, Product and Marketing Director at Benefit Systems. Currently, Wrocław residents can use 21 Fitness Academy clubs. At the same time, we are introducing a new, more intimate format to the Wrocław market – the boutique Studio Fitness Academy where we have used AI solutions to support the training process.

The club’s offer is wide-ranging: personal training, group classes, diagnostics, AI circuit training, training with a physiotherapist, aerial yoga and hot yoga, as well as “Relaxation and Meditation” classes that address mental health needs. Users will also find functional training zones, free weights, a cardio zone, a machine zone, as well as a fitness room, bikes, a fitness bar and a sauna where they can relax.

How does one exercise with AI? More willingly and more often.

As the creators of the AI training concept emphasise, the technology used in strength training simplifies the exercise process and supports regular activity. It allows to perform a complete, safe and fully tailored strength training in about 30 minutes without the need to manually set the machines or select the load.

After logging in with a special contactless wristband, the system automatically recognises the user and adjusts the settings of each machine to their individual parameters: position, range of motion, and resistance are set automatically, without the need for manual adjustments – says Magdalena Szwed, Fitness Clubs Product Development Director at Benefit Systems. The first training session takes place with a trainer who activates the exerciser’s profile and performs a basic strength measurement. The studio also has a diagnostic kiosk that allows to check such parameters as strength, mobility, range of motion, and body stability. Based on this, one can select the appropriate training mode with a trainer and receive precise, safe exercise recommendations. The user can also report any limitations or injuries, and the system will take them into account when planning the training programme. Depending on the goal – increasing strength, improving mobility or supporting rehabilitation – the appropriate training mode is selected.

The circuit consists of eight strength stations, which can be moved between in any order, and each machine automatically recognises the user and adjusts to their needs. All sessions are recorded and analysed. The application shows progress, biological age, strength level, muscle balance and individual records, and the system automatically suggests subsequent load stages, so that the training develops along with the exerciser. After completing the session, the user can check the training summary, load statistics and progress history in the application, which further motivates regular visits. This phenomenon can be seen in the example of the Studio Zdrofit club, which has been operating in Warsaw for a year and a half.

From the perspective of 1.5 years of experience at the Warsaw Zdrofit Studio, we clearly see that technology supports regular exercise and attracts new customers to the club. Already 80% of people using AI training are those who have not previously trained in clubs at all or did so rarely and irregularly. About one third of all club members regularly use AI-based circuit training. They appreciate its speed, effectiveness and comfort. We are convinced that this type of training available in Wrocław will also expand the group of physically active people – concludes Magdalena Szwed.

The AI-powered application is intuitive and easy to use, which attracts beginners and those returning to exercise after a break. This form of training is also chosen by people who do not want or cannot devote a lot of time to exercise. The maintenance-free nature encourages those who have not yet had experience training on gym machines but are looking for some form of physical activity.
