Benefit Systems portfolio with over 200 fitness clubs on four markets – Saturn Fitness has joined the capital group

Benefit Systems has finalised the purchase agreement for six Saturn Fitness clubs, thus increasing the number of its own fitness clubs in Poland to 192. The acquired facilities will strengthen the Group’s offer in cities strategic for the MultiSport Programme, such as Kraków or Gdynia as well as those in Upper Silesia. Saturn Fitness clubs have been valued for their attractive and diverse range of activities, the quality of sports equipment, extensive wellness zones and modern interior design for years. The value of the transaction is PLN 27.6 million.

– Saturn Fitness achieves very good operating results and has an established position in cities that are important for further strengthening of the MultiSport Programme offer. The network, developed for over two decades, fits the latest trends and customer needs, combining an advanced training offer and an extensive machine park with modern wellness zones. It focuses on accessibility, i.e. the convenience of customers in terms of well-designed, functional interiors and high-quality service. The acquired clubs are the premium segment. The acquisition of Saturn Fitness is therefore a perfect complement to the offer of our existing clubs and creates great potential for synergy. We will use it to guarantee the best package of services to the ever-growing group of MultiSport card holders and individual customers, especially since visits to Saturn Fitness clubs are already very popular among our users. After taking over Total Fitness and Calypso Fitness, the purchase of Saturn Fitness is another step in strengthening our network of fitness clubs that give the MultiSport Programme a strong advantage – says Bartosz Józefiak, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems.

As part of the transaction, Benefit Systems will take over six Saturn Fitness clubs located in Warsaw, Kraków, Gdynia, Łódź, Chorzów and Gorzów Wielkopolski. Two facilities are in well-known and popular shopping centres in Gdynia and Łódź while the others – in developing residential districts, such as Warsaw’s Bielany or Krakow’s Podgórze. The offer of the acquired clubs includes modern forms of group classes, personal training, gyms, cardio and free weight workouts as well as spa and wellness zones. The club in Chorzów , opened in 2019, features nearly 400 m² of wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a steam bath and the club in Krakow – a large, heated swimming pool with hydromassage function.

– I am glad that we are becoming part of the Benefit Systems Group and I cannot wait to see what the future and our combined forces will result in. We bring the know-how and experience of over two decades of operating in the fitness industry, including a unique approach to creating not only functional but also attractive spaces for engaging in regular physical activity. Our clubs have extensive spa and wellness zones that strongly support the effects of workouts, including the processes of strengthening and regenerating the body. They are also spaces full of positive energy, inspiring to act and promoting a healthier lifestyle – says Adam Żerkowski, President of the Saturn Fitness network. – The solutions we have developed and an unconventional approach to the needs of customers, especially the younger ones, are the strength of Saturn Fitness and will provide great potential for the constantly expanded Benefit Systems offer – adds Adam Żerkowski.

The acquired Saturn Fitness clubs ended 2022 with very good sales results and a strong balance sheet. The clubs are in a very good technical condition and so the company does not expect significant capital expenditure related to renovations in the coming years. The total value of the transaction will be PLN 27.6 million for 100% of the shares in the acquired company. Additionally, the sale price of the shares may be increased by PLN 1.1 million if the Saturn Fitness network achieves certain financial results.

Costly 147.7 million days in six months. More physical activity would help the economy save billions.
According to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) data, in the first half of 2026, Poles spent nearly 150 million days on sick leave – the result similar to that of the corresponding period last year. Lifestyle diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension, are common causes of absenteeism. Surveys show that the incidence of illness and, consequently, the number of days spent on sick leave, could drop significantly if we, as a society, engaged in regular physical activity. Analyses conducted on behalf of Benefit Systems show that physical inactivity is a systemic phenomenon.
