Benefit Systems with a special Trustworthy Employer Award
On November 30, the 11th edition of the Trustworthy Employer competition took place. The organisers, including the Polish Chamber of Commerce and “Teraz Polska” Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, awarded companies and institutions that use interesting and effective solutions in the field of employee policy, especially those related to the SARS-COV 2 pandemic, considering the professional development of employees and the protection of their rights. This year the jury decided to present the Special Award to Benefit Systems, which “turned out to be not only a trustworthy employer, but also a reliable and supportive partner for the entire industry and its employees as well as a responsible social partner.”
– During the pandemic, employers were forced to cut company costs. Therefore, training sessions, holiday vouchers and pay rises were abandoned, wages were cut, and in the worst case, employees were laid off. How to maintain motivation, commitment, and employees in general in pandemic conditions? The answer is simple: introduce measures that are unconventional and respond to the current situation. Employers must follow the trends emerging from the expectations of employees, which, especially in an unstable situation, simply need to be taken care of. Such solutions must be rewarded – emphasised Krzysztof Przybył, president of “Teraz Polska” Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation.
The jury was composed of representatives of non-governmental institutions – business organisations, think-tanks, and universities. They are represented by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, “Teraz Polska” Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, ESG Institute operating within the framework of Ignacy Krasicki XBW Foundation, Staszic Institute, Adam Smith Research Centre, Warsaw Enterprise Institute, Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, Business Institute, Ecology and Management University, Integration and Cooperation Association (organiser of Welconomy in Toruń) or Polish Economic Society.
The award ceremony was held at the seat of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw and was preceded by a debate entitled “ESG – how employers join the sustainable development process”, which was devoted to the correlation between the introduction of multiannual ESG strategies to the company and their financial results. The debate was attended by Tomasz Półgrabski, ESG and Public Affairs Deputy Director at Benefit Systems S.A., Kamil Rybikowski, Director of the Office of the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs, Karolina Opielewicz, Management Board Member at the Polish Chamber of Commerce, Andrzej Czernek, Vice-President of “Teraz Polska” Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, Michał Kępowicz, Head of the Strategic Relations Department at Philips, Marta Mikliszańska, Head of the Public Affairs & Sustainability Department at Allegro and others. This year the initiative took place under the patronage of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, Ministry of Development and Technology, Ministry of State Assets, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Ministry of Education and Science and the Office of the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs.
