Dancing Wola

Warsaw’s newest fitness club, Zdrofit Fort Wola, summarises its first month of operation and looks at the physical activity of Warsaw residents. Dance classes took first place among the most frequently chosen fitness training sessions. LesMills and Body&Mind workouts also made it to the podium.

Zdrofit Fort Wola is the newest, 58th Zdrofit network club in Warsaw and the 10th in Wola. The first month of its operation confirmed the trends present in Zdrofit clubs. The most popular classes in terms of attendance were dance classes, LesMills and Body&Mind.

Dance, strength and something for the spirit!

In the first weeks of the new club’s presence on the fitness map of Warsaw, dance classes such as Zumba® and Latino Solo were the most popular. This confirms that women, who primarily choose group training, look for activities that combine movement, entertainment, and fun.

The top three also included LesMilles and Body&Mind training. The popularity of LesMilles classes is due to their universal nature – it is medium-intensity strength workout performed to music, which allows you to work on all parts of the body, but also to calm oyour emotions. Moreover, you can’t get bored during the training as the music and choreography change every three months.

Body&Mind classes (yoga, Pilates, stretching and healthy spine) have been very popular since the pandemic. Poles believe that physical activity allows them not only to work on their body, fitness, and strength, but also on their emotions. According to the MultiSport Index 2023 survey, for the second year in a row the main reason why 42% of Poles go for training is to improve their mental condition. Before the pandemic, relaxation and the desire to support mental condition was indicated as the main motivator by 28% of respondents.

The catalogue of group classes at the Zdrofit fitness club in Wola is very wide and includes strength, endurance, and metabolic training.

The largest fitness room

The Zdrofit Fort Wola club is situated at 4 Połczyńska Street. It covers an area of 1,600 square meters with eight zones: fitness, cycling, strength machines, cardio, functional, stretching, personal training, and wellness. The fitness room, which covers 200 square meters of space, is one of the largest in this part of Warsaw, which translates into classes conducted in comfortable conditions.

For the first time in a Warsaw club – with people practising running, football, or tennis in mind – a place for motor preparation training was designed. Exercisers appreciate the possibility of using the first muscle-powered treadmill designed with the participation of athletes taking part in the Olympic Games, an exercise bike whose mechanisms imitate riding in natural conditions, a rowing ergometer enabling cardio and strength workout, as well as tools supporting a comprehensive warm-up, proper training and stretching.

After their workouts, customers visit a co-educational relaxation zone with a dry and infrared sauna, the first ice fall in Warsaw (a device with ice cubes to cool the body after visiting the sauna) and a salt wall.

Professional club equipment and an attractive offer of group classes are complemented by the ZaczyNAJ onboarding package addressed to people who are just starting their adventure in the Zdrofit network. It includes two free meetings with a personal trainer during which the instructor presents the club’s offer, conducts an interview and helps define goals and how to work on them.

A personal profile on the Zdrofit club website and the application is a comprehensive source of knowledge for training participants. A new feature on the website is the training plan configurator. After completing the survey, each club member receives an individual 10-week plan. The whole is complemented by the ZdrowAppka application, which – with the introduction of the possibility of downloading data from other applications – becomes a complete tool for planning activities and monitoring progress in achieving training goals.

Costly 147.7 million days in six months. More physical activity would help the economy save billions.
According to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) data, in the first half of 2026, Poles spent nearly 150 million days on sick leave – the result similar to that of the corresponding period last year. Lifestyle diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension, are common causes of absenteeism. Surveys show that the incidence of illness and, consequently, the number of days spent on sick leave, could drop significantly if we, as a society, engaged in regular physical activity. Analyses conducted on behalf of Benefit Systems show that physical inactivity is a systemic phenomenon.
