Free sports activities in a natural setting – Green Outdoor Workouts

It’s worth spending May Saturdays on outdoor activities. Green Outdoor Workouts – a series of free urban outdoor training combined with cleaning the green areas – are an ideal opportunity for this. Workouts are organised throughout the country by the Zdrofit, Fabryka Formy, Fitness Academy, FitFabric, My Fitness Place, Step One and S4 networks.

The results of the latest MultiSport Index 2022 survey show that only two out of five adult Poles meet the basic recommendations of the World Health Organisation by undertaking at least 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity per week. On the other hand, 28% of physically active Poles admit that they would like to exercise more often. Green Outdoor Workouts organised by Benefit Systems, which will take place in parks and forests of the largest cities and agglomerations in Poland on Saturdays in May, are a great opportunity to turn words into action. Apart from taking part in the classes, their participants will also be able to contribute to the environment.

Green Outdoor Workouts are also a great opportunity to take the first steps towards changing one’s lifestyle as well as get to know trainers and classes conducted in fitness clubs. According to research, many people do not start their adventure with physical activity because they fear that they fall by the wayside. Thanks to Green Outdoor Workouts it is fitness clubs that reach out to people who, for various reasons, have not decided to appear in them so far. In this way we show that literally everyone can exercise safely in sports facilities under the watchful eye of qualified trainers, regardless of age and fitness level – says Tomasz Groń, Managing Director at Benefit Systems Fitness Branch.

Where will the outdoor workouts take place?

A series of sports activities in a natural setting started on 7 May. The first training sessions took place in Warsaw, Tricity, Katowice, Opole, Łódź, Wrocław, Kraków and Poznań. Future classes are planned for the following Saturdays (14, 21, 28 May) between 10:00 and 13:00 in the following cities and locations:

Everyone can take part in the Green Outdoor Workouts. Classes are free and open to the public. Participants do not have to take any accessories or cleaning equipment with them. These will be provided by the organisers.

In the event of a possible cancellation of training due to bad weather, relevant information will be posted on Facebook one hour before the scheduled classes.

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
