Shopping at IKEA a new employee benefit – MyBenefit and IKEA have established cooperation.

MyBenefit, the owner of the first and largest employee benefits platform in Poland, which belongs to the Benefit Systems Group, has established cooperation with IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o. In April MyBenefit cafeteria system users gained a new form of non-financial benefits in the form of IKEA Gift Cards.

The goal of MyBenefit is a holistic approach to the wellbeing of organisations and their employees as well as the support of employers on many levels. Based on these values, the company develops an offer of non-financial benefits tailored to the beneficiaries’ current needs with a modern e-shop, which employees can use on a daily basis. A novelty in the cafeteria system are IKEA Gift Cards that can be used to pay both when shopping online at IKEA.pl and in the chain’s stationary shops. This cooperation was created to support employees in arranging their home space while working or studying in the home office mode. According to the international IKEA survey conducted by Ipsos Mori, as many as 33% of the respondents indicated that they would like to have a place dedicated to work or remote learning in their homes.

– The pandemic has turned our homes and apartments into a true centre of life – a place for work, study, sport and leisure. Household members spend more time together than usual and use their shared space to carry out various duties. Not only comfort and ergonomics during remote work but also the appropriate interior arrangement, conducive to rest and regeneration, have become important. We are convinced that the benefit in the form of IKEA Gift Cards for purchases in this chain of stores will please our platform users and that employers will find support in meeting the current needs of their employees valuable – says Jolanta Rycerz, President of the Management Board at MyBenefit.

– We are glad that the wide range of IKEA products, solutions and services has been made available to MyBenefit cafeteria system users. Our diverse, beautiful and functional offer as well as remote consultancy of designers will help to arrange not only the perfect place to work at home but also create a harmonious and peaceful space conducive to the idea of work-life balance and the household members. The benefit of having an IKEA Gift Card is the possibility of a more sustainable life at home  – comments Michał Nasierowski, Key Account Manager at IKEA Retail Polska. – It is not without significance that the card has no expiration date and that it can be used many times until the funds are completely exhausted – adds Michał Nasierowski.

Benefits, as tools to support employee experiences, are an important element of activities building the organisational culture. These values have brought MyBenefit and IKEA together. It is precisely caring for people and the planet as well as creating a better, everyday life that constitutes IKEA’s vision. Both companies adhere to the principle that an effective wellbeing policy is a continuous and dynamic management of the employee’s sense of wellbeing by taking into account his or her current needs.

From a few to a dozen employers join the MyBenefit cafeteria platform every month. They are attracted by a wide range of non-financial benefits, constantly developed around a holistic approach to caring for employees.

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
