The 117th Zdrofit club in Poland, 63rd in Warsaw – the fifth biggest one in the capital. The largest network of fitness clubs in Poland is consistently developing.

Zdrofit has opened its 117th fitness club in Poland. The facility, located in Warsaw’s Ursus district, is another strategic move by the network owned by Benefit Systems. Zdrofit representatives emphasise that their most important goal is to increase the availability of professional training spaces in the country.

Warsaw residents have gained a new point on the capital’s fitness map: a Zdrofit club at 40a Leszczyńskiego Street in Ursus. This is the network’s 117th club in Poland, 63rd one in Warsaw and 3rd one in this district. The decision to locate it in Ursus was made after a thorough market analysis that revealed significant demographic growth in the area, an increase in the number of new residential investments and a growing demand for modern fitness spaces in this part of Warsaw.

– Providing increasing access to places where one can take care of their physical fitness, and therefore their health, is one of our key goals. The fitness sector in Poland has great development potential, and the growing awareness of the impact of physical activity on a long and healthy life and the post-pandemic change in the way of working open prospects for us not only in the largest cities and their business parts, but also in peripheral districts and towns situated near large agglomerations. We follow our customers by opening clubs where they spend most of their time and need easy access to professional training spaces. The opening of another Zdrofit club in Ursus is in line with this trend and responds to the local needs of residents – says Tomasz Groń, Managing Director of Fitness Club Networks at Benefit Systems.

A wide range of training courses and extensive infrastructure

The new Zdrofit club is situated in an office and service building. With an area of 2,150 square meters, the facility is one of the largest clubs in Warsaw and one of five in the capital whose area exceeds 2,000 square meters.

It is designed to provide a comfortable and versatile training space for people of all skill levels, in line with network standards. The club offers a wide selection of complementary training zones, including functional training, free weights, machines, cardio, a fitness room and a cycling room. Customers also have access to a recovery zone and an extensive relaxation zone, equipped with an infrared sauna, a dry sauna, loungers, a salt wall and an icefall.

People coming to the new club can also take advantage of a wide range of group classes, including Body&Mind with the record-breaking popularity of yoga, Pilates and stretching, the equally popular Les Mills® or dance with Zumba® and Commercial, a combination of various dance techniques inspired by the styles of hip-hop, dancehall, twerk, sexy dance and jazz funk. There are also strengthening, metabolic and endurance classes.

The network provides professional support from trainers, including an onboarding package for people starting their adventure with physical activity. Technological support for users is provided by the ZdrowAppka mobile application, which enables the creation of personalised training plans and management of the visit schedule.

Development of the Zdrofit network in agglomerations and beyond

Benefit Systems, one of the leaders on the Polish market in providing non-financial benefits supporting employee wellbeing and an operator of fitness networks, including Zdrofit, actively monitors the changing needs of Poles in terms of physical activity and adapts its development strategy to them.

Previously, Zdrofit clubs were located mainly in the largest cities, in office buildings and shopping centres. Currently, adapting to changing lifestyles, including the popularisation of remote and hybrid work, the network is increasingly opening facilities in housing estates, in the peripheral districts of the largest Polish cities and in smaller towns in the vicinity of agglomerations. The opening of the new Zdrofit club in Ursus is an example of this change, confirming the company’s commitment to the development of fitness infrastructure in Poland.

Zdrofit are fitness clubs owned by Benefit Systems. The clubs promote healthy exercise in line with the philosophy that physical activity is available to anyone who wants to take care of their health, regardless of age, body shape or previous achievements. Currently, Polish residents can exercise in 117 Zdrofit clubs. As many as 63 of them operate in Warsaw. The remaining ones are in Tricity, Szczecin, Kielce, Koszalin, Toruń, Lublin and Elbląg

Benefit Systems has been operating on the Polish market for over two decades and is one of the leaders in providing non-financial benefits that support employee wellbeing. The company is the creator of the MultiSport Programme, which enables physical activity in sports facilities throughout the country. Its portfolio also includes the MyBenefit cafeteria platform and the MultiLife wellbeing programme. For several years now, the company’s sports offer has been developed on foreign markets, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Croatia. The Benefit Systems Group also operates fitness clubs (in Poland it is responsible for Fabryka Formy, FitFabric, Fitness Academy, Good Luck, My Fitness Place, Saturn Fitness, StepONE, Total Fitness and Zdrofit networks). An important area of Benefit Systems activities is the promotion of an active lifestyle at every stage of life, which is why the company implements initiatives supporting physical activity of children, adults, and seniors, also as part of the MultiSport Foundation. From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
