The new Zdrofit club in the restored Fabryka PZO building

The 47th Zdrofit facility has been operating in the restored Fabryka PZO building at 312 Grochowska Street in Warsaw since 13 September. Zdrofit fitness clubs, owned by Benefit Systems, focus on popularising an active lifestyle as well as improving and developing the physical condition among the club members. An introductory meeting with a trainer in the new location will provide them with professional preparation to start a healthy lifestyle. The effectiveness and safety of exercises will be additionally enriched by the equipment of tried and tested brands, including Hammer Strength and Cross Dare machines, while cardio training will be available on Life Fitness and Cardio Precor bikes.

The new Zdrofit club was created on the premises of the restored Fabryka PZO building near Skaryszewski Park, which can be reached from the centre of Warsaw in just 15-20 minutes. The facility has been designed in a modern, loft style, which perfectly fits the aesthetics of the renovated optical works in the Praga Południe district. The club covering 1500 m² of space is divided into eight training zones. It also has a sauna and a cafe area.

– In addition to the well-known zones for individual training, the club’s offer also includes classes strengthening muscles and improving fitness level, such as Zumba Toning, which combines intense endurance training with dynamic dance, or internationally recognised Les Mills training, which uses elements of many different disciplines, including martial arts. Our constantly expanding offer also includes High Heels (training on high heels) popular in the West, which improve coordination and strengthen the muscles needed to maintain balance, thus building self-confidence in safe conditions. A team of trainers and physiotherapists cooperating with the club specialises in carrying out over 80 fitness trainings in 11 different categories – explains Tomasz Groń, Managing Director at Benefit Systems Fitness Branch.

As Tomasz Groń points out, the continuation of the development of the Zdrofit network is associated with an increased interest in sports activities after the pandemic.

– We can clearly see that Poles want to exercise more. According to the MultiSport Index 2022 survey, currently 65% of Poles are physically active, of which one in five chooses training in fitness clubs. This means an increase by 8% compared to the results recorded in the same survey from 2021. The increase in Poles’ awareness of the importance of psychophysical health can also be seen on the example of activity in our sports and recreational facilities throughout the country. At the end of June this year there were already 16,000 users who had B2C passes in our clubs, such as Zdrofit or Fabryka Formy – adds Tomasz Groń.

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
