Two new My Fitness Place clubs are launched in Krakow

On 4 January, two new large-format clubs of the popular My Fitness Place network were opened in Krakow. The modern facilities with a spa zone, salt walls and saunas are located in the Czyżyny and Ruczaj districts. The new My Fitness Place clubs offer a wide range of group classes, including the popular Les Mills workouts as well as top-notch training equipment.

– Each of the new clubs has about two thousand square meters featuring various training zones, including gyms, tartan treadmills, fitness rooms and fit bars with products supporting the proper diet of physically active people – explains Jakub Grabowski, Finance Director at Benefit Systems Fitness Unit, which manages the My Fitness Place network, and adds: – When designing the new clubs we also took into account local health needs and added extensive wellness areas where people can relax after a hard workout, take care of their health or reduce stress. We have salt walls that have a positive effect on the respiratory system which all who deal with smog will certainly appreciate. In addition, there are also dry and infrared saunas where people can relax after intense exercise or help their body in removing toxins.

The clubs also offer a wide range of group activities, including the highly popular High Heels classes, Les Mills BODYPUMP®, Les Mills BODYATTACK® and stationary bikes.

In the case of both facilities, their location is important. They are situated in dynamically developing areas very well communicated with other parts of the city: Ruczaj and Czyżyny districts. My Fitness Place Ruczaj operates in the Atut Ruczaj II shopping centre, near Bunscha and Bobrzyńskiego streets. It is surrounded by large housing estates inhabited by young people and areas where further development investments are planned. My Fitness Place Nowohucka is located in the modern Atut Galicyjska complex, near Nowohucka and Centralna streets, where investments are local in nature and combine various functions, e.g. residential, service and commercial. They are also a part of a dynamically developing area of the city.

Jakub Grabowski explains the choice of these specific locations for the new clubs:

– We carefully analyse new investments to better complement the offer of existing clubs in each city in terms of geography and products. In the case of new locations in Krakow, we wanted to expand My Fitness Place’s offer with the facilities in intensively developing residential districts. In addition, after the pandemic, many people work remotely or in hybrid mode and are more likely to undertake activities closer to where they live – adds Jakub Grabowski.

Free parking is available for customers at both locations. The facilities accept MultiSport partner cards.

The My Fitness Place network now consists of a total of 16 clubs located in the Małopolskie, Śląskie and Opolskie voivodeships. My Fitness Place is part of Benefit Systems Fitness Unit, which manages 170 clubs in Poland.

From gyms to wellness centres: how fitness clubs in Kraków have changed over the years.
In the past, the gym was primarily associated with barbells and weights. The offering was simple, and the space was dedicated primarily to strength training. Today, a fitness club is much more than that: you can practise Reformer Pilates, train for HYROX competitions, access physiotherapy services, use the sauna, or unwind after work in the recovery zone. Increasingly, you don’t have to be an avid athlete to feel at ease in such a place.

Will new pay transparency regulations consign classic spreadsheets to the dustbin of history? HR needs a new data architecture.
Implementing the pay transparency directive is not merely a legal and organisational challenge for HR teams. It is also a test of companies’ technological maturity. Employers will evaluate positions, assign employees to appropriate pay levels, analyse the pay gap, and prepare salary information taking all variables into account. In practice, this may entail working with large volumes of sensitive data, where relying solely on spreadsheets for processing can become less efficient and more prone to errors.
