Złote Spinacze 2019: two statuettes for MultiSport communication projects

Among the winners of the Złote Spinacze 2019 competition, Benefit Systems – the creator of MultiSport cards – was awarded twice. The PR industry awarded the Active MultiSport Schools educational programme and the survey of physical activity among Poles – MultiSport Index 2019 – with the silver and bronze statuette.

A record number of 331 projects was submitted to this year's 17th edition of the Złote Spinacze competition, which is dedicated to best PR practices. Among 83 winning initiatives, two Benefit Systems projects related to the MultiSport brand were awarded.

In the “Media relations” main category, the silver statuette was presented to the Active MultiSport Schools programme, which has been monitoring and increasing the level of physical activity among primary school students for nearly two years. Communication activities based on unique survey results and educational materials generated more that 1,300 earned media publications, with a total value of nearly PLN 3.5 million and reaching 14.9 million recipients. The programme is carried out by Benefit Systems in cooperation with the V4Sport Foundation.

In the “Sport” sector category, the brown statuette was presented to the MultiSport Index 2019 survey, which is a source of knowledge about Poles' sporting behaviours and the level of their physical activity. Every year, communication related to the survey is one of the main elements of building the expert image of the MultiSport brand. The survey report itself is also a long-awaited source of market knowledge about the activity of Poles. For two months of 2019, the MultiSport Index 2019 became the subject of 1,772 publications, with a total value of PLN 1.8 million, which reached nearly 5 million recipients. The survey is conducted by Kantar on behalf of Benefit Systems.

The Communication Department at Benefit Systems is responsible for the communication activities of both projects: Robert Moreń (Communications Director), Jolanta Jędrysek (PR & Promotion Manager), Agnieszka Bemowska (PR Senior Specialist), Sandra Dobrowolska (PR Specialist).

Costly 147.7 million days in six months. More physical activity would help the economy save billions.
According to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) data, in the first half of 2026, Poles spent nearly 150 million days on sick leave – the result similar to that of the corresponding period last year. Lifestyle diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension, are common causes of absenteeism. Surveys show that the incidence of illness and, consequently, the number of days spent on sick leave, could drop significantly if we, as a society, engaged in regular physical activity. Analyses conducted on behalf of Benefit Systems show that physical inactivity is a systemic phenomenon.
