At the end of May sports facilities such as swimming pools, fitness clubs and gyms will be able to resume their activities. Therefore, at the beginning of June, the next edition of the MultiSport Summer Game will begin. Its goal is to activate Poles to undertake regular physical activity in the summer. As part of holiday gamification, MultiSport also promotes discovering new sports disciplines and engaging in online training.
– We believe that our Summer Game will motivate MultiSport card users and their relatives to return to regular activity and take care of their fitness level under the supervision of trainers and instructors. For several years now we have been trying to engage our users in this way during the holiday season so that they take care of their health, strengthen their immunity and build their healthy habits. It is extremely important, especially now, when we see how big and negative impact social isolation and lack of access to favourite activities had on our health – stresses Emilia Rogalewicz, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems.
This year’s Summer Game is nine weeks with nine different sports disciplines and numerous challenges, such as training in sports facilities, quizzes and relaxation games. This year the points will also be awarded in new categories, supporting the diversity of activities undertaken and referring to sports trends that emerged during the pandemic. Gamification points will be available, among others, for visits to three new sports facilities where we have not exercised before and for online training on the Yes2Move.com platform or as part of live training sessions provided by MultiSport Programme partners. All points collected by August 11, 2021 can be exchanged for prizes, such as sports watches, shopping vouchers or training accessories as well as to support a selected charity action as part of Dobry MultiUczynek.
Each year the Summer Game engages thousands of users. An important effect of this sports competition are not only prizes but also a healthier lifestyle and better wellbeing of its users.
According to the MultiSport Index Pandemic survey, in 2020 as many as 65% of Poles undertook physical activity at least once a month but due to the first lockdown as many as 43% of them significantly limited training. The most frequently indicated reason for this change was the closure of sports and recreational facilities. As announced by the government, on May 28, the fitness industry will be able to resume operations after the pandemic break lasting more than six months.
Participants of the Summer Game will be encouraged to train and learn about new sports by special ambassadors – LifeManagerka and Piotr Galus Twój Trener. Many activities of this year’s gamification will take place in MultiSport Polska social media, also as part of a special Facebook Letnia Gra MultiSport group.
