Get ready for an easier life and less stress! How? By engaging in regular physical activity. Seven fitness networks from all over Poland encourage Poles to regular exercise that support the body and mind in taking up daily challenges. The campaign aims at increasing Poles’ knowledge of the positive impact of physical activity and sport on the quality of life, health, and wellbeing. Get ready! is a joint initiative of the Zdrofit, Fabryka Formy, Fitness Academy, S4, Fit Fabric, My Fitness Place and Step One fitness clubs owned by Benefit Systems.
We cannot predict what the future holds and recent months have proved that many events do not depend on us. However, we have an impact on our health and our habits as well as on how strong and ready we are to take on everyday challenges. – This is the idea behind the Get Ready! campaign, which aims at making Poles aware of the fact that thanks to physical activity we can, among others, successfully relieve stress and negative emotions, strengthen our health and immunity, support our concentration, or improve the quality of our life.
We encourage the whole society to undertake diverse daily physical activity that positively affects various aspects of our lives. We also want to convince people who have avoided sports so far to an active lifestyle. Numerous studies show that health and improved wellbeing are currently the strongest motivations for Poles to play sports. Thus, building a communication strategy and creating products supporting the achievement of these goals may, with high probability, have a positive impact on the level of retention, as was the case, for example, in the Scandinavian countries – says Daniel Biegaj, Marketing and E-Commerce Director at Benefit Systems, Fitness Unit.
Ambassadors of everyday activity
According to the “Movement is healthy” study conducted among 1,114 users of fitness clubs owned by Benefit Systems, nine out of ten respondents (93%) believe that physical activity neutralises stress and mental overload while more than half of the respondents (56%) admit that it strengthens their self-acceptance. The characters from the Get ready! campaign – Ania, Tomek, Iza, Romek and Karol – selected from among Benefit Systems fitness club members, also confirm the positive impact of activity on everyday life. They represent different interests, generations, health needs and levels of training. Their stories can be found, among others, in the material promoting the project. The campaign spot can be watched HERE. (https://fb.watch/81DC4gUFPV/)
The characters from the Get ready! campaign will also appear in creations designed for promotional and educational activities in social media of fitness networks and as part of digital and content marketing activities. In addition, to increase the public’s knowledge of a healthy lifestyle, a team of experts from the Zdrofit, Fabryka Formy, Fitness Academy, S4, Fit Fabric, My Fitness Place and Step One fitness network have prepared free e-books that will help new users during their first visit to the fitness club, facilitate introducing active breaks at work – also at home – and provide tips on how to reduce stress. Each e-book can be downloaded at www.przygotujsię.pl.
Breaking stereotypes
– We are aware that for many people undertaking any physical activity is still associated with various barriers. One in ten inhabitants of our globe still perceives their age as an obstacle. For another 10% an difficulty in undertaking physical activity is their body shape. The characters from the campaign prove that sport is for everyone, regardless of age, and we exercise to achieve different goals, often completely different than a slim figure. Thus, as part of the campaign, we also want to change the perception of physical activity, which does not always mean sweating at the gym. The Get ready! project is to encourage balanced exercise, regeneration, proper nutrition, and minimising factors responsible for long-term stress. These are the key activities that strengthen our psychophysical health – emphasises Daniel Biegaj.
The campaign’s promotional activities are also coupled with new services focused on improving mental wellbeing through physical activity. A novelty in the fitness offer is a special programme of “anti-stress” classes dedicated to people leading an intense lifestyle burdened with chronic stress. Correctly selected exercises help restore the proper functioning of the body, increase the ability to overcome psychophysical strain and support the prevention of diseases caused by stress. The Get ready! campaign will last until the end of October 2021. During this time, the project will develop both in terms of healthy transformations of the campaign characters, topics related to activity and health as well as campaign exposure and outreach activities.
