As many as 73,000 children have already discovered their first professional passions in miniciti – a unique educational town that combines fun with learning, also thanks to the support of the MultiSport Foundation. In the local ZDROFIT mini fitness club, children can see what the job of a fitness instructor or dietitian is like. In 2024, the space attracted as many as 11,600 children.
miniciti is a unique educational town located in the Praga Koneser Centre in Warsaw. It is a space where children can play and learn, exploring as many as 13 different career paths, such as medicine, engineering, media, sports and banking. With access to authentic tools and equipment, the youngest not only learn the specifics of various professions, but also develop key skills such as teamwork, financial management and decision-making.
In the world of adult professions presented in miniciti, health and physical activity occupy a special place. Thanks to the involvement of the MultiSport Foundation, a miniature ZDROFIT fitness club was established in the town, which quickly won the hearts of the youngest. Equipped with an interactive floor, a reflexometer and sports equipment adapted to children, the club allows young explorers to play the role of personal trainers, dieticians and physiotherapists. It’s not only great fun, but also an opportunity to learn healthy habits and develop passion for physical activity from an early age.
– Through the presence of the MultiSport Foundation in miniciti, we want to show that sport can be fun and an important element of life at the same time. Education in this area has the potential to introduce real social changes. Our mission is to inspire children to discover their passions and talents – emphasises Tomasz Półgrabski, president of the MultiSport Foundation.
The innovative miniciti concept can boast about impressive statistics. During the year of its operation, as many as 127,000 professional sessions were organised, during which children took on various roles, from personal trainers to designers and doctors, discovering their talents and possibilities. The town has already been visited by 73,000 students and over 18,000 guests, including teachers and guardians who participated in inspiring activities with the children. During sessions in the Zdrofit mini club, children (there were 11,600 of them in 2024) take on roles related to an active lifestyle, e.g. creating training and nutrition plans for the mini club’s participants. They learn the importance of healthy habits and responsibility for the safety of others. All this in the form of fun, under the watchful eye of an instructor.
The special value of the project, which the MultiSport Foundation is part of, is its inclusiveness. As many as 2,620 children with disabilities could use the adapted space, experiencing the unique atmosphere of miniciti.
