Benefit Systems is expanding its portfolio with the Lunching platform

The new investment expands the Benefit Systems offer in the growing segment of the non-financial benefits market: co-financing meals and supporting healthy nutrition of employees. Lunching is a solution designed to help employers organise meals for their teams in any financing model they choose. Research shows that more than half of employees in Poland expect subsidies for meals[1], and employees who eat regularly are by 25% more efficient [2].

– The strategy implemented by Benefit Systems assumes that our offer will comprehensively support three areas necessary to lead a conscious and healthy lifestyle: physical and mental condition as well as proper nutrition. After investing in the Focusly mindfulness application, which will feed into the MultiLife programme, we focused on securing the third area, meaning employees’ diet. People who eat healthy and are physically active record an average of 27% fewer sickness absences at work than those who do not lead a healthy lifestyle. We also know from the research that more than half of employees in Poland expect employers to support them by subsidising meals at work – explains Bartosz Józefiak, Management Board Member at Benefit Systems. – We invested in Lunching because it is an intuitive, technologically well-developed platform and application, the great advantage of which is the possibility of appropriate scaling in the coming years. Lunching.pl was established in 2016 to support employers in building healthy eating habits in their teams based on eating regular, freshly prepared meals. Currently, it is an intuitive application, website and HR tool that connects employees, employers, restaurateurs, and catering companies. Lunching allows employees to order food with delivery to their workplace, both online (application, website) and onsite (kiosks with interactive screens available at the workplace). It is also a modern solution for HR departments for ongoing service and settlement of subsidies for meals. Importantly, the model of subsidies and their amount can be easily adapted to the company’s needs and the implementation and operation of the programme, including orders and settlements, are free of charge. An additional advantage is the quick integration of Lunching with HR and payroll systems as well as full reporting and settlement of funding for meals.

Lunching operates throughout the country, serving both employees in production plants and office workers. The largest number of orders is currently carried out for office buildings in Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław, and Kraków. Benefit Systems has purchased 75% of shares in Lunching.pl. In the following years (until 2025) it plans to acquire another 25%. The investment means the acquisition of technology (platform, application, and a system of interactive kiosks), partners as well as the know-how and experienced team creating Lunching.
