Benefit Systems announces a new ESG Strategy for 2024–2026, which aims to strengthen the company’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility. The strategy focuses on three main pillars: society, business and the environment, emphasising the company’s desire to support the wellbeing of various social groups and maintain the highest ethical standards in its activities.
For over two decades, Benefit Systems has been promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, providing companies with benefits and accompanying their employees on the path to achieving psychophysical wellbeing. The solutions offered by the company include the now iconic MultiSport card, the MultiLife wellbeing operating system and the MyBenefit cafeteria platform.
The organisation’s business model naturally includes active involvement in solving social problems. Benefit Systems cares about respect for human and employee rights, conducts its activities in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), complies with the adopted principles of the Diversity Policy and respects the implemented good practices in the case of mobbing and discrimination. All this is reflected in the fact that Benefit Systems belongs to the B Corp movement – a group of companies considered the most responsible in the world. In 2023, the organisation confirmed its commitment to sustainable development by renewing its B Corp certification. Creation of the Benefit Systems Group’s strategy and its adoption by the Management Board in March this year is therefore a consequence of its activities connected with sustainable development, which it has been conducting for years.
The aim of the activities specified in the Benefit Systems Group ESG Strategy for 2024–2026 is a better life for current and future generations. Therefore, they are based on three key pillars: society, business and the environment. Within each of them, Benefit Systems has defined and developed specific priorities as well as action measures.
SOCIETY
Activity and involvement
Better life is led by people who care about their health, are active and committed.
Benefit Systems considers promotion of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among various social groups to be its obligation to society. In the years 2024–2026, as part of the activities of the MultiSport Foundation, the company declares to carry out a total of at least 37,000 free sports activities for children and teenagers. It also undertakes to develop the “Active MultiSport Schools” programme, as well as to organise social campaigns aimed at people with disabilities.
Benefit Systems declares that in the coming years it will take actions to promote physical activity both among children aged 6-11 (classes with elements of corrective and compensatory gymnastics) as well as seniors (promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle). An important area is the involvement of the company’s employees in supporting the community, which is done by increasing the number of hours devoted to employee volunteering from year to year.
Wellbeing and education
Better life is led by people who care about their wellbeing, personal development and relationships with the environment.
Another commitment adopted by Benefit Systems for the years 2024–2026 around society is to take care of the welfare, wellbeing and condition of its employees, users and clients. The planned activities include development of the MultiLife platform and services connected with wellbeing and mindfulness, as well as expansion of the network of the company’s partner and own sports facilities. The company also undertakes to support work-life balance (balance between work and private life) of its employees.
BUSINESS
Responsible management
Business conducted in an ethical and responsible manner translates into a better life for employees and community members.
As part of the ESG Strategy for 2024–2026, Benefit Systems undertakes to strategically manage the ESG area in the Benefit Systems Group by incorporating ESG risk management into the existing risk management framework in the group, integrating these criteria into purchasing processes, etc.
In the coming years, the company will raise awareness and educate its partners in the field of sustainable development. It also plans to create with them responsible management standards and support them in their activities for sustainable development.
Everyone’s
ENVIRONMENT
A better life requires caring for the natural environment so that subsequent generations can live in healthier conditions and use the limited resources of our planet.
As part of the ESG Strategy for 2024–2026, Benefit Systems aims to minimise its negative impact on the environment. By 2026, 25% of purchased energy will come from renewable energy sources. The company will take steps to significantly reduce the Benefit Systems Group’s carbon footprint. From 2024, all new and renovated clubs in Poland belonging to the group will meet the Benefit Systems Green Club Standard.
