The first Fabryka Formy club in Chorzów, the fifteenth in the Silesian province

On 13 June, the Fabryka Formy fitness club was opened in Chorzów. This is the first club of the network in this city and the fifteenth in the Silesian province. Thanks to comprehensive and professional equipment, a wide catalogue of group classes and an extensive relaxation zone, its offer meets the expectations of trainees, both regarding working on their physical condition and reducing everyday stress.

The Fabryka Formy club in Chorzów is located at 29a Stefana Batorego Street and covers an area of over one thousand square meters.

– The first Fabryka Formy club in Chorzów is the next step in our consistently implemented strategy, which includes systematically increasing access to sports infrastructure, providing professional places for training and relaxation, and educating the public on the preventive impact of physical activity on the psychophysical condition – says Tomasz Groń, Managing Director of fitness club networks at Benefit Systems. – The club and its offer have been designed in such a way that every resident of Chorzów, regardless of their previous experience with physical activity, will find a discipline that suits their needs and capabilities. Beginners will be taken care of as part of our ZaczyNAJ programme, where safety and exercises appropriately selected to suit the abilities of the training person are most important – he adds.

The Fabryka Formy club in Chorzów was designed in accordance with the standards adopted for the whole network. It includes eight zones: cardio, weightlifting and powerlifting, free weights, machines, functional, stretching, fitness and relaxation. The offer also includes a wide catalogue of group classes, such as strengthening, metabolic and endurance. There are also dance classes, including Zumba® and Salsation®, which are very popular in clubs all over Poland. People who prefer activities that combine working on their physical condition while calming their emotions can take advantage of Body & Mind classes, such as stretching, Pilates or spine yoga.

Part of the club is reserved for a relaxation zone, which includes a dry and infrared sauna as well as a salt wall. There is also a space where one can warm up and eat a meal after training.

Greater availability of clubs and a personalised offer

Residents of the Silesian province can currently train in 15 Fabryka Formy clubs – four in Katowice, two in Bytom and Tychy, and one in Chorzów, Jaworzno, Rybnik, Sosnowiec, Wodzisław Śląski, Zabrze and Żory. Their total area exceeds 25,500 square meters.

– We currently have over 220 fitness clubs in Poland, which gives us a leading position on the Polish fitness market. We plan further development in various regions of Poland. What I mean is not only the opening of new clubs, but also adapting their offer to the changing needs and expectations of customers and the opportunities resulting from the development of new technologies – explains Tomasz Groń.

In recent years, the reasons for engaging in physical activity have changed significantly. According to the results of the MultiSport Index 2020 survey, before the pandemic, 47% of Poles exercised for physical health, and 11% to improve their body shape. Motivation in the form of relaxation and the desire to support mental health was indicated by 28% of respondents. However, in 2023, the main reason why 42% of Poles go for training was to improve their mental condition. The change in the factor motivating activity resulted in the expansion of the offer in Benefit Systems clubs. Hence, the new club in Chorzów offers a wide range of Body & Mind classes and an extensive relaxation zone.

Customers, especially those without extensive training experience, also expect greater support from the coaching staff and digital tools in defining training goals as well as ways of working on them. People starting training at Fabryka Formy can use the ZaczyNAJ onboarding package, which includes free consultations with a personal trainer and an individual training plan available on their personal profile on the club’s website.
